Luquillo on my Mind - Mixed-Media Coastal Art

A little piece of Luquillo after dark.

This one-of-a-kind wall hanging started as a piece of bamboo found on the beach, then got layered with hand-painted color, natural beach stones, Luquillo sand and two small pieces of sea glass.

Two stone figures sit together by the water under a moonlit purple sky, surrounded by all the imperfect little textures that make found-material art feel alive.

The bamboo keeps its natural rough edges and weathered character, and a simple cord hanger on the back makes it ready to go straight on the wall.
